E-Series “Low-Profile” Infrared

Infrared
touch technology uses infrared emitter-collector pairs to project
an invisible grid of light over the surface of the screen. When
the beam is interrupted, the absence of a signal at the collector
is detected and converted to an X-Y touch co-ordinate. This
can then be encoded by the controller.
The IRTOUCH E-series touchscreen is the lowest
profile in the range. Supplied with touch controller integral
to the bezel, E-series is ideal for internal installation into
LCD monitors. It is the ideal choice for many interactive applications
such as POS, Interactive Digital Signage monitors and Kiosks.
Unlike conventional touch systems, IR touch products
permit integration with or without a protective display window.
