"Rugged" Infrared Touchscreen
Infrared
touch technology uses infrared emitter-collector pairs to project
an invisible grid of light over the surface of the screen. When
the beam is interrupted, the absence of a signal at the collector
is detected and converted to an X-Y touch co-ordinate. This
can then be encoded by the controller.
The
IRTOUCH K-series touchscreen features a utilises a steel bezel
with integral touch controller. This rugged construction offers
one of the most durable touchscreens on the market. Unlike conventional
touch systems, IR touch products permit integration with or
without a protective display window.
