The
conventionaL and experienced method to mount touchscreens
to TFT displays is to use a gasket or seal. However, in doing
this an air-gap is created and refractive loss is experience.
The consequence of this is contrast loss or washout.
With Seiko's ADB technology the void between the touchscreen
is reduced to 100µm and filled with an optical glue.
The result is the internal reflections are eliminated and
performance is excellent in high ambient or direct sunlight
conditions.
