6th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor

The new KONTRON Mainboards are designed to support the high-performing 6th gen Intel® Core™ processors. This new microarchitecture was launched by Intel in 2015 under the codename "Skylake" and is the successor to the Broadwell microarchitecture. The main advantage of these processors is the higher CPU and GPU performance at a reduced power consumption. Besides this, it is using the 14 nm manufacturing process.
